Hopelessly lost in the tall trees.
You start to feel hopeless lost as you venture further into the tall trees
. The trees tower above you.
Because the Weeping Willows and Morton Bay Fig trees have all grown together, along with their twisted, tangled, and huge roots sprawling on the ground all around you, it makes it difficult to determine which way to go next. The further you walk into the trees
, the more you continue to hop from root to root.
You keep looking around as you move in what you think is a forwardly direction. You’re just not sure anymore which direction is which. And, since you can’t see the sun because of the overgrowth from the tall trees, you can’t get your bearings. You’re thinking you gotta be lost. You continue to see what you think are the same trees and hanging formations of moss along with other growth, but it could just be that everything is now looking the same. You have absolutely no idea which way to go next.
So now you’re faced with just continuing to walk forward.
Or, you could do what you think is backtracking (which would be mostly guessing at this point.
Of course, heading left might be the way to go.
Then, again, going right might be the answer to finding your way out.
Time to decide ...
