Plantation Mansion™

As soon as you walk into the sitting room, you feel calm. There are many books on meditation, so you figure this room must be “the place” for quiet introspection and deep thoughts. And, of course, there is no doubt in your mind that this room is a perfect “get away from it all” kind of place.

With more large windows, as with the rest of Plantation Mansion™, the openness allows the to stream in without exception. This is definitely an enchanting room. There are mobiles hanging throughout the room, all at varying heights. The variety and colors all sort of blend in to create a visual experience high above your head. You somehow feel lighter or more aware in this room.

The big leather chairs, like so many others here in the Mansion beckon you to “plunk yourself down” and just relax. You decide to sit in one of the chairs and are surprised how comfortable it is as you sink into the softness of it.

Incense is burning, with mesmerizing clouds of smoke twisting and curling their way upward into the constantly moving pattern of mobiles. Suddenly you realize soft flute music is playing. There was no sound when you walked into the room so you begin to wonder where the music is coming from. You stand up and the flute music stops. You sit down and it starts again. Wow! Flute music triggered by sitting down in a chair. You then stand up and sit down in other chairs in the room. The same thing happens. How clever is that?

You realize also that you are breathing slower and deeper since walking into this room.

At this point you can head towards the hallway leading to the back of the house.

Or, you can head into the livingroom.

You could zip over to the study if you want.

And, too, the library seems to be beckoning you.
