The Study in Plantation Mansion™ is, in your opinion, what sets the standard for how such rooms should look. The walls are lined with books on Oak shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling..

What few sources of light stream in through limited windows still allow to come in and have a definite impact on defining the warm and inviting room. The high ceiling really makes this room as does the ladder that rolls along the bookshelves. But the centerpiece of this room, this study, is the ornate red Oak roll top desk. The red carpet is a perfect accent to finish off the room. You keep looking around at all of the books and most impressive are the leather and cloth bindings. There aren’t many new books to be found in this collection.

Looking more closely at the roll top desk you find the top tambour unit to be locked as are the rest of the drawers except one. The lower left hand drawer on the bottom is slightly open. You think about it for a minute and then you hear yourself quietly asking, “Should I open that drawer?”

You could head back to the library.

You could go into the main hallway.

You could head over to the living room.

Or, and you are so tempted to do this, you could slowly and quietly slide open the bottom desk drawer to see what you just might see. Your curiosity is definitely getting to you in this part of the Mansion!

Time to decide ...
