You walk into an open area of the cave, just as a tall figure runs smack dab into you, knocking your shining  EverReady flashlight to the ground and the flashlight rolls to an opening in the floor where it falls ever downward. As you watch this happen, you hit your head and get knocked out. The figure disappears.

When you open your eyes, you are looking right into your trusty EverReady flashlight ... somehow you ended up to where your flashlight fell. Or, was the flashlight brought back up to you? You’re not sure just what happened or what is going on.

Then you spot the tall figure, not far from you, watching  you. You slowly get up and the figure runs. You give chase but lose the figure. Just as you try to catch your breath, another figure, this one much shorter, runs into you, knocking you down. This figure stops to help you get up, but since the figure is behind you, you can’t see anything. The figure flicks off your flashlight and tosses it what sounds like a far distance from you.

The figure disappears in the darkness and you crawl around for what seems like the longest time, looking for your flashlight. Then you find it. You are amazed the light comes right back on.

There is still a mist in the air and it feels refreshing.

Here are your options at this point:

Continue exploring by going straight.

Go back where you came from.

Head to your left, which you think is where the figure headed. You have no way of knowing, but something tells you the figure “went that-a-way!”.

There is also a way to climb upward to a small, narrow, but passable passageway.

Time to decide ...
