Standing in Plantation Mansion™ kitchen almost takes your breath away. Not only is this the biggest kitchen you’ve ever seen, but the layout of it is, well, just perfect! The walls are lined with windows and since the windows go all the way up to the high ceiling that lets in the just perfectly. The way the light strikes objects in this kitchen, everything takes on the look of a vivid painting - one you are standing right in the middle of!

The red and white breakfast nook definitely has a ‘50s look to it. There is also a counter with high stools where, if you prefer, you can eat your meals there. The copper pots and pans hanging from the ceiling in a wrought iron rack also look like something out of a painting. The island in the center of the kitchen is huge, complete with a sink and several cutting knives neatly stacked on a circular wooden block. The refrigerator has a wooden veneer as does the stove and the stand alone freezer. There is no doubt in your mind that you could feed an army out of this kitchen; and, at the same time, you know the kitchen is used sparingly these days.

The stove has eight burners - gas powered. There are two microwaves, a heating oven, and some sort of spit device that is probably used for slow roasting “things!” You couldn’t ask for a more complete kitchen. There is plenty of cupboard and storage space. In fact, you see a door that is slightly ajar and upon opening it, you discover a well stocked pantry. No one will be running out of food in this house hold!

At this point you think about heading back into the Lanai Room.

Hey, you could even zip out the back door, too, if you wanted to.

Of course, you spotted the dining room and that looks interesting, indeed.

But, then you could head down the hallway leading to the front of the house, too.

Time to decide ...
